V-35

not your average semi-hollowbody

The V-35

This was a one off instrument that I built to satisfy a creative itch, but I would gladly build another one for a fellow fan of the V. The Flying V is the “rosebud” of my main guitar playing years, which were heavily steeped in extreme metal. Once I discovered the V, nothing else seemed right… Not only did it look cool, but it had nearly perfect balance and the access to the upper frets was insane. This instrument combines the balance and access of a V with a semi-hollow construction to land in the zone of what you might expect from a 335 tonaly. The slightly microphonic pickups paired with the solid spruce top and cedar center block make for a very dynamic instrument that would be well suited for a broad spectrum of genres. It may look tough, but I assure you that it has a sensitive side that shines bright.
